16th International Conference on Child Genital Cutting
August 27–28, 2022
The issue of genital cutting/mutilation of newborns and children was brought to the forefront of discussion in 1989 in Anaheim, California. Since then, these symposia have convened biennially (when possible). The two-day event addresses genital cutting by presenters from many disciplines including history, religion, medicine, anthropology, psychology, law, and ethics.

What: INTACT 2022: The 16th International Symposium on Child Genital Cutting
Where: The Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center, 800 Spring St NW, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA.
When: Friday, August 26, 2022, 7-9pm registration and mixer. Presentations on Saturday and Sunday, August 27-28, 2022, 9am-5pm.
How Much:
- The in-person conference fee is $300 and includes a continental breakfast and a bountiful buffet luncheon each day, and day-time parking. Lodging and travel are not included.
- Virtual attendance is $275.

Travel: If you are flying into Hartsfield-Jackson Int’l airport, the MARTA /is a safe and economical transportation option. Use the Red or Gold lines. The Midtown MARTA station is 5 blocks from the hotel. Georgia Tech operates a free “Tech Trolley” bus between the station and campus, going past the hotel.
Lodging: Hotel accommodations must be made by each attendee directly with the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center.
